Cosy up in The Bath and enjoy poetry about the great outdoors with

Elizabeth Rimmer reading from her second collection from Red Squirrel Press, The Territory of Rain (2015). Born and educated in Liverpool, she moved to Scotland in 1977. Poet, gardener and river-watcher, her roots are Catholic, radical, feminist and green. Her poems have appeared in Poetry Scotland, Northwords Now, Gutter, Brittle Star and Southlight. Her first full collection, Wherever We Live Now, was published by Red Squirrel in 2011, who also published her second, The Territory of Rain, in 2015. Currently she is working on poems about herbs, social and environmental upheaval, and strategies for responding to hard times.

Claire Carter is a Sheffield poet, writer and creative consultant in the outdoor industry. She is Film Officer for Kendal Mountain festival, Film Judge and Presenter for Sheffield Adventure Film Festival, and this year directed her debut film ‘Operation Moffat’, selected as a finalist for the upcoming Banff Mountain Festival. Claire graduated with distinction from the University of East Anglia Creative Writing MA in 2010, and has continued her research the National Trust, Mountain Heritage Trust , Women’s Climbing Symposium and her independent mountain arts events, or raves. She is working on an anthology of women’s wilderness and adventure ‘Waymaking’ with Helen Mort and Heather Dawe, to be published by Vertebrate Publishing.

Derbyshire Stanza members, Alison Riley, Barbara Jagger, Cora Greenhill, Linda Gould, Liz Cashdan, Nick Read will read from the brand new anthology, A Place of Wonder from Templar, which will just have been launched at The Templar Poetry Festival.

Sally Goldsmith, well known and loved local poet and singer/songwriter, will treat us to some of her songs and poems about Derbyshire.
